I am trying to log serial data with a script that like this:

#!/bin/sh
stty -f /dev/cuaa0 raw
nohup cat -u /dev/cuaa0 >> cuaa0.cap &

unfortunately, it looks like either an RS232 break or some other
condition from the serial port can kill the cat program.

Is there a simple way for me to tell the cat program to ignore all such
type conditions?  I've played with various stty options without luck.
"stty -f /dev/cuaa0" looks like this:

speed 9600 baud;
lflags: -icanon -isig -iexten -echo
iflags: -icrnl -ixon -ixany -imaxbel -brkint
oflags: -opost -onlcr -oxtabs
cflags: cs8 -parenb
