Only the MX records for server2.net need to point to the first host, so that mail for the domain is delivered to this host. > - mail.server2.net in local-host-names IIRC, this isn't right. You should only list mail.server2.net in the local-host-names of 200.200.200.102. > - In mailertable = mail.server2.net esmtp:mail.server2.net This seems ok. > Server #2 - IP 200.200.200.102 > - has sendmail & pop3 > - mail.server2.net in local-host-names > - has user "william" This seems ok too. > Send test mail: william@server2.net > ....get error: > SYSERR(root): mail.server2.net. config error: mail loops back to me (MX > problem?) That's because mail.server2.net points to the address 200.200.200.101. When sendmail on that host tries to deliver the message as per the instructions of your mailertable, it discovers that the message is sent back to itself! A loop... - Giorgos
