The test > is different, though: Looks like you have a stale /etc/rc. I can't be sure, since you didn't tell us what release of FreeBSD you're using. However, if you're using anything since 3.4-RELEASE, I _can_ tell you that you really need to run mergemaster(8) some time soon. :-) Ciao, Sheldon.
