Hi, I have some problems with the xl0 driver. I have a DeLL laptop and the ethernet card is in my docking station. Usually all communication is fine, but the card stops working properly. This seems to happen while a backup of the system is made. So, I suspect it has something to do with heavy traffic on the card. Here are the relevant syslog messages. Apr 27 12:40:27 calimero /kernel: xl0: <3Com 3c905-TX Fast Etherlink XL> rev 0x00 int a irq 10 on pci0.13.0 Apr 27 12:40:27 calimero /kernel: xl0: Ethernet address: 00:c0:4f:f5:91:ee Apr 27 12:40:27 calimero /kernel: xl0: autoneg complete, link status good (half-duplex, 10Mbps) Apr 27 12:52:17 calimero /kernel: xl0: transmission error: 90 Apr 27 12:52:58 calimero /kernel: xl0: watchdog timeout Apr 27 13:34:38 calimero /kernel: xl0: watchdog timeout .... After this the ethernet card is unusable (no traffic is send/received) even after a 'ifconfig xl0 down up'. Does anyone have a clue (or even better: a cure) for this problem?
