Just be sure to use a recent version of FreeBSD > as there have been issues in older versions. My gateway to the internet is an Aironet 340 with PCI interface and a 24db "fruit basket" antenna. I'm hitting an omni antenna on a large cement silo about 3.5 miles/5 km away without an amplifier. Typical throughput is about 1 mpbs. -- "Where am I, and what am I doing in this handbasket?"
