The biggest one (for me) is that it isn't compatible with the "Dead Client Detection" feature, which is a major pain if you're trying to write Java servlets. There's also an issue with LONG RAW columns, if you care about that sort of thing (I don't). Otherwise, it is functional, if a bit slow.
