Change the lines gnome-seesion && exec sawfish to just: exec wmaker .xinitrc is called by startx and .xsession is called by xdm, I believe that's how it works, at least on my system. check your .xinitrc and .xessions files in the dir of = the users your logging in as.

        gnome-seesion &&
        exec = sawfish

to just:
        exec = wmaker

.xinitrc is called by startx and .xsession is called = by xdm, I believe that's how it works, at least on my system. But = that's what I did.
