To get an idea of memory usage on processes, you can cat /proc/<pid>/map. That doesn't tell you exactly what you want to know though (swap space). That would be an interesting "fun" project to add to procfs though. (That project is specifically one that I think of while laying in bed, and forget about by the time that the morning comes around.)
