The copy/paste function of moused is a builtin feature of the FreeBSD console. You don't need to do anything special (apart from running moused) to enable this on a FreeBSD console. If you are sitting on a FreeBSD console, then copy/paste works, regardless of where the output will eventually go. I can copy from one of my virtual consoles, and paste in another virtual console where I have telnet'ed to a remote machine. It just works. If you mean that you are sitting on a machine X that runs an operating system Y (where Y is *not* FreeBSD), and you want to use copy/paste then you'd have to consult the documentation for the programs that you run in Y. An alternative could be to telnet or ssh to a FreeBSD machine and run screen(1) in that telnet session. Then you could use screen's C-a [ and C-a ] keys to copy/paste text. -- Giorgos Keramidas . . . . . . . . . keramida@{ceid.upatras.gr,freebsd.org} FreeBSD Documentation Project . . . http://www.freebsd.org/docproj/ FreeBSD: The power to serve . . . . http://www.freebsd.org/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
