Tried to install FREE BSD 4.8 on GATEWAY ALR 7200 SERVER with intel motherboard but system hangs on initialization of integrated video controller (Cirrus Logic CL-GD54M30 chip). Pre-hang message is "agp0: <Intel 82433BX (440BX) host to PCI bridge> mem 0-0x3ffffff at device 0.0 on pci0" 5.1 in verbose mode generates message "agp0: allocating GATT for aperture of size 64M" then hangs... What I have to do? Is it my fault or kernel recompilation needed?
