Maybe we could help more this > way. In this case, the situation was to relieve an edge condition that was in conjuction with the bsd.*.mk upgrade. There really wasn't time to ask people first. There were a number of overlapping regressions that we had to fix quickly. Normally I'm reluctant to do these kinds of commits, otherwise. The best way for maintainers to find out when these checkins occur is to subscribe to FreshPorts and add their ports to the watch-list. mcl
