FreeBSD 4.3R When I run perl -MCPAN -e 'install Bundle::CPAN' Running make test Delayed until after prerequisites Running make install Delayed until after prerequisites Compress::Zlib is up to date. Archive::Tar is up to date. Data::Dumper is up to date. Net::Telnet is up to date. Running install for module Net::Cmd Running make for G/GB/GBARR/libnet-1.0703.tar.gz CPAN: MD5 security checks disabled because MD5 not installed. Please consider installing the MD5 module. /usr/bin/tar: Hmm, this doesn't look like a tar archive. /usr/bin/tar: Skipping to next file header... /usr/bin/tar: only read 6764 bytes from archive /root/.cpan/sources/authors/id/G/GB/GBARR/libnet-1.0703.tar.gz Using Tar:/usr/bin/tar xvf /root/.cpan/sources/authors/id/G/GB/GBARR/libnet-1.0703.tar.gz: /usr/bin/tar: Hmm, this doesn't look like a tar archive. /usr/bin/tar: Skipping to next file header... /usr/bin/tar: only read 6764 bytes from archive /root/.cpan/sources/authors/id/G/GB/GBARR/libnet-1.0703.tar.gz Couldn't untar /root/.cpan/sources/authors/id/G/GB/GBARR/libnet-1.0703.tar.gz So what´s the pb with tar.gz from that doesn´t look like a tar archive? And this is broken, too: # perl -MCPAN -e 'install Net::FTP' Can't locate object method "install" via package "Net::FTP" (perhaps you forgot to load "Net::FTP"?) at -e line 1. and # perl -MCPAN -e 'install HTTP::Date' Can't locate object method "install" via package "HTTP::Date" (perhaps you forgot to load "HTTP::Date"?) at -e line 1. Earlier on this machine, I was able to the above command to install Date::Calc for pflogsumm.pl (postifx log summarizer), and when I try to re-install it, it does say "Date::Calc up to date" Thanks, Len http://MenAndMice.com/DNS-training http://BIND8NT.MEIway.com : ISC BIND 8.2.4 for NT4 & W2K http://IMGate.MEIway.com : Build free, hi-perf, anti-abuse mail gateways To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
