It is already accessible world-wide, but we are only using it for ourselves (for updating our FreeBSD machines) because nobody else knows about it. We wouldn't mind other people using it, though, and it's hanging at a 2 MBit/sec line. We are in Germany, and our provider is UUNet. The mirror is currently set up like this: - it mirrors only the sources (cvs-all); no gnats, no mailing lists, no nothing else. - it refreshes every 4 hours from cvsup3.de.freebsd.org We'd be willing to refresh more frequently or from another site if desired, and also to mirror the entire cvsup repository if desired. Although we don't have that now, we could perhaps also set up an FTP mirror, if that's desirable; it would depend on the amount of storage required. We are a little bit unsure about the bandwidth to expect, though. Having the network cost increase by 20 percent because of this service would be hard to explain to our bosses ;-) Greetings, B.
