https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D208087 Bug ID: 208087 Summary: devel/p5-forks patch Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: perl@FreeBSD.org Reporter: vivek@khera.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(perl@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: perl@FreeBSD.org Created attachment 168323 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D168323&action= =3Dedit patch to remove version string warning With modern perl versions (I'm using 5.20), the included Storable module ha= s a version number which is non-numeric. This results in every program written = with the p5-forks module to emit this warning: Argument "2.49_01" isn't numeric in numeric ge (>=3D) at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/mach/5.20/forks.pm line 1570. The module itself has not been updated in a long time, but there is a propo= sed patch for this on the CPAN bug database at https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=3D102730 which is what I impleme= nt with this local patch in the port. The Debian project has done similar: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-perl/packages/libforks-perl.git/tree/de= bian/patches/storable-version-check --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
