Can you inform those that do things like mpeg layer 3 encoding that we 
are interested on an mpeg layer 3 encoder for the purpose of audio
conferencing  or "broadcasting" with vat or an rtp audio tool?

Yes, I understand the P166 MMX requirement and we do have patches to 
support MMX .
