And you are right - looks like FreeBSD (almost) cleans up everything which should be followed by reboot which is never happening so manual intervention is ALWAYS required. Which means remote upgrades or reboots are impossible. FreeBSD 4.x has no problems doing that on same machine and yes, i know this is diff. code. Tomaz p.s. Will check for boot -v output tomorrow.
