I have problem for card Cyclom-16YeP I works in such enviroment: My hardware: -------------------------- Pentium-133 (Intel 430FX chipset), 32M EDO RAM 60ns, S3 Trio64 PCI video card 1M, NCR 53c810 SCSI adapter, Onboard FDD controller, Cyclom-16YeP multiport card, NE2000 network card IRQ 10,11,12 in BIOS determined as free Matherboard contains controllers EIDE, COM, LPT ports. They are forbidden in BIOS, since are not used. Configuration OS: --------------------------------------- FreeBSD 2.2.2-RELEASE. The configuration OS includes all devices listed above. Multiport card Cyclom-16YeP is described as follows: device cy0 At a load FreeBSD all devices are distinguished normally. They didn't have any error messages. FreeBSD establishs a Cyclom-16YeP on IRQ 10, card SCSI adapter on IRQ 11 and videocard on IRQ 12. Installation of multiport card Cyclom-16YeP ----------------------- 1.I created a new kernel OS, which contains the device cy0 2. The computer was power off. 3. I install card Cyclom-16 YeP in free PCI slot. 4. I established the modem on 33.6k on one of COM port. 5. After power on of computer the multiport card Cyclom-16YeP was normally identified by OS. 6. I have created files of devices by command " MAKEDEV ttyc0 ", according with determining of ports on Cyclom. The test connection was established successfully. The ports on Cyclom-16YeP work for reception. During intensive transfer of data, the system began to give out error messages with periodicity 3-5 sec. " device ttyc00: silo overflow ". I recompiled a kernel OS, to change size of the buffer FIFO on the processor CD1400. I established value 4, 12 ( By default 6). During further work OS the beginning to be reloaded. The messages on fatal errors from OS thus was not observed. They didn't notice any system in self-any reloading to us it was not possible. Installations of multiport card Cyclom-16YeP We established address space for representation of the buffer up to 1Πand over 1ΠChanges was not observed. I send this letter on support@cyclades.com and has received the answer. > Hello Serg, > Actually the FreeBSD driver for our boards is developed directly by > FreeBSD, we only have information to give tech. support in the instalation > driver process.
