Quite a bit of the material is clearly newer than the timestamps claim it is. Nonetheless, you're looking at the wrong section. The "supported hardware" list in the main part of the handbook (it's section 2.3, last I checked, but don't quote me on that) is more useful for this purpose than the "hardware compatibility" appendix.
