(I was impressed with the fact that my hotkeys for volume control worked in KDE) I have opened a file with the media player in KDE and also launched the aRts control window. When I play the file I can see the indicator lights moving as if the audio file was playing, but again nothing through the speaker. I even tried using the headphone jack. The sound server says it's running. I just don't know what I could be missing.
