Heimdal is not built by default, I think - in my experience, I have always had to explicitly set MAKE_KERBEROS5=3Dyes in make.conf :) That said, you might have a point: the sample make.conf file only talks about KRB5_HOME in reference to the MIT Kerberos 5 port. Do you think it would be appropriate to change it (/etc/defaults/make.conf in -STABLE, /usr/share/examples/etc/make.conf in -CURRENT) to add an additional sentence, mentioning the need to define KRB5_HOME even if Heimdal is built in the base system?
