There is a later version of the RXTX port now, however, behaviour is the same
as the previous version.

A patch for this has been submitted as part of:
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=200179

Also this is not an issue with Java, it is doing exactly as the c library is
asking it to do...

(Hint: SIGABRT should not be used to terminate a thread, it in turn SIGABRTs
the parent process..._
