The output of the attached test indicates that after about a minute of run the system doesn't call the SIGPROF handler anymore. The test works as expected on Linux. How to reproduce: $ gcc test.cc # or clang test.cc $ ./a.out Actual output: 0 1 2 3 ... *0 *1 *2 *3 ... Expected output: 0 1 2 3 ...
