I use omask="255.255.255.0" onet=`ifconfig fxp0 | grep "inet " | awk '{print $2}'`/24 oip=`ifconfig fxp0 | grep "inet " | awk '{print $2}'` You could probably simplify that with oip=`ifconfig fxp0 | grep "inet " | awk '{print $2}'` onet=${oip}/24 but I haven't tried it.
