It stands out in my mind as a manufactured marketing term maquerading as a real word, and it's one that I heard (and read) far too many times at PC Expo last week. Now I grit my teeth whenever anyone says it. Of course, by that same token, I'm guilty of plenty of similar offenses. Even though I try to avoid it, I occasionally catch myself saying things like 'interoperability' and 'connectivity' which don't exist in the dictionary either. Maybe someday we'll have English++ where words will be able to supply their own definitions. :) -Bill -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~T~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -Bill Paul (212) 854-6020 | System Manager Work: wpaul@ctr.columbia.edu | Center for Telecommunications Research Home: wpaul@skynet.ctr.columbia.edu | Columbia University, New York City ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Møøse Illuminati: ignore it and be confused, or join it and be confusing! ~~~~~~ "Welcome to All Things BSDish!
