There is an updated driver for the fxp. It works well for me with the ET
version of the onboard nic, but *not* the EM version. Upgrade to -STABLE
and you should hopefully be fine.

Hmmm.... At one point, I was able to get the machine to work a little
longer by limiting the amount of throughput via dummynet. Try setting it
to something like 1Mb in and out... Hopefully that will let you cvsup long
enough to get the update.

After reboot, if you have the ET version, it will look something like
fxp1: <Intel Pro/100 Ethernet> port 0xc400-0xc43f mem 0xd5101000-0xd5101fff
irq 11 at device 8.0 on pci1
fxp1: Ethernet address 00:01:80:05:d2:67
inphy1: <i82562ET 10/100 media interface> on miibus1
inphy1: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto
if the phy says, EM, in my case anyways, its still unreliable. It doesnt
lock up hard however like the old driver does.
