Now I got hold of a six-CD-set of NetBSD-1.6 + lots of packages. I installed it on my machine, but I think I like FreeBSD-5.x better (easier to use and configure, plus I got "The Complete FreeBSD" lying around). I've heard great things about binary compatibility between the three BSD-systems, so I thought, maybe I can just install the NetBSD-packages on my FreeBSD-system? Has anyone ever tried something like this? Did it work? How does this work performance-wise?
