You've got a couiple of choices. You can use a commercial
product like Partition Magic, or you can try the freeware 
tools like fips.  Whichever you choose, make sure to back
up everything you consider important!

Assuming here that you meant "boot up to FreeBSD" rather than
"boot up to Linux", yes you can.  I don't recall the exact details,
but you will probably find the details in the handbook at 
http://www.freebsd.org.

gcc, g++, and egcs, and I believe JDK 1.1.7.
