We are getting closer:) I'd need the output of those command: # gpart list da1 | grep -A3 'Name: da1p3' | tail -1 # sysctl -b kern.geom.confxml If the first command gives you 'r0w0e0' then we would need this updated patch: http://people.freebsd.org/~pjd/patches/vdev_geom.c.patch It looks like when your pool is trying to open provider it is already open by someone else.
