AFAIK "sys" only rewrites partition's boot record not MBR so
ur booteasy remains intact.

Just format floppy with system files to bee stored and copy there
"sys" form windows\command dir. Boot with it and do "sys c:".
Couple years ago when I used both WINDOZE & FreeBSD on my PC
I had situation with corrupted WIN's boot sector. I used FreeBSD
bootmanager and I know it's easy to restore it.
