Hi - I fought this battle for a few days and managed to get it to work. Now that it works it is *really* nice - so it was worth it. :-) I used the default configuration for configure adapter. I have heard that you might want to select interrupt pin C but I didn't have to. Configure device: You might want to initially turn off sync negotiation, disconnection, and fast transfer depending on what your disk can do. Enable bios send start for the devices you have. Advanced options: disable DOS space > 1gb Now motherboard: L2 cache fastest Cache burst r/w cycle 2T Memory shadow video disabled, option ROM's disabled PCI master access shadow RAM enabled CPU to PCI burst write enabled CPU to PCI post memory write enabled Finally: Some of the older scsi-2 drives (like my HP) won't boot from the buslogic controller. I had to switch temporarily to a seagate hawk in order to make my boot disk. I use the HP as a data disk with the buslogic just fine. Hint: Use the boot floppy as a debugging tool to make sure the kernel sees the card and that the settings look right. Good luck! mark.h bugs@win.net
