Yes, I have looked through the apcupsd package. Thank you for pointing it out. It is very similar to NUT, but only for APC devices (as the name implies :-) Have you looked at apcupsd-3.8.5/distributions/suse/halt.in ? It does to SuSe what I would like to with FreeBSD. The README in distributions directory recommends SuSe as the best implementation. >The "shutdown -p" is only run as the final decision by apcupsd to shut down >the machine. What happens if power returns AFTER this final decision, but BEFORE the system is actually shut down?
