There were two groups of ANA-prefix NICs from adaptec: the ANA-69xx 
series with digital 21x4x-series chips which work with de(4), and the 
ANA-690xx series with AIC-6915 chips that use sf(4).  IIRC from setting 
up a 6922 on 4.3-R, GENERIC didn't find the card, but a custom kernel 
with just the de driver did.
