Have you tried reproducing this problem on another machine? I've used
Applixware on 3.2, 3.3, 4.0 and 5.0. None have given me any problems with
installation or use. No, this isn't a commercial for Applixware, just
stating that I've seen it work on different versions of FreeBSD.
