Under heavy upload, the connection stops, the modem switches off. The console keeps printing "usb0 controller halted". So far the only solution I have found is to reboot the computer. The system is : FreeBSD optimistic 4.4-STABLE FreeBSD 4.4-STABLE #10: Sun Sep 23 13:13:38 CEST 2001 root@optimistic:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/opt_db i386 but I have this problem with 4.3 as well. The error printf comes from /usr/src/sys/dev/usb/uhci.c which hasn't been touched for a year. The computer is an Athlon on a Asus A7V MB. dmesg is attached. Is this a known problem? Is there a solution for it? The BIOS setting Advanced->"System Performance" is set to "Normal" instead of the default "Optimal". "Optimal" makes this error happen more often. The BIOS version is the last one from Asus site. The out bandwith is limited to 128Kbits/s by dummynet on the tun0 interface. Thanks for your help!
