Is 802.11 standardized enough that the wi driver may also work with
some other, cheaper, cards, such as the Symphony cards from Proxim?
The last time I priced the WaveLAN stuff it was far over $1K for a
base unit and a PCMCIA card.  I'd love to use this stuff in my house
(I work at home), but I just can't justify spending that much.
