Hi. Am I right in thinking that FreeBSD/i386 can support large files (e.g. tera-bytes) under FFS, but cannot read more than a 32-bit integer ? If this is the case, has anyone considered, for example, a 64-bit "virtual" integer interface to allow reading/writing files bigger than what can be stored in a 32-bit integer ? If it could be done, I for one, would find that facility very useful. cheers.... PS I've been thinking about getting FBSD-4, but have heard that the XFree86-4 that comes with it is not quite as stable/good as previous releases. Should I wait for a later stable release along 4.x ?
