Hello,
I'm trying to install an IDE zip drive (100 Mb) in my FreeBSD 3.2
computer, i reconfigured the kernel ( as suggested in man wfd )
to make sure there is a wfd device. At boot time the zip is
recognized as wd2 instead of wfd0 as seen in dmesg:
wdc1 at 0x170-0x177 irq 15 on isa
wdc1: unit 0 (wd2): <IOMEGA ZIP 100>
wd2: 96MB (196608 sectors), 512 cyls, 12 heads, 32 S/T, 512 B/S
If i try to use it as wd2, i can mount it and use it once,
but if i umount the drive and try to mount it again it gives
a list of errors.
wd2: wdcontrol: recal failed reading fsbn 0 (status 51<rdy,seekdone,err> error 2
0<id_crc>)
wd2: wdunwedge failed (status 51<rdy,seekdone,err> error 20<id_crc>)
wd2: wdcontrol: recal failed reading fsbn 0 (status 51<rdy,seekdone,err> error 2
0<id_crc>)
wd2: wdunwedge failed (status 51<rdy,seekdone,err> error 20<id_crc>)
wd2: wdcontrol: recal failed reading fsbn 0 (status 51<rdy,seekdone,err> error 2
0<id_crc>)
wd2: wdunwedge failed (status 51<rdy,seekdone,err> error 20<id_crc>)
wd2: wdcontrol: recal failed reading fsbn 0 (status 51<rdy,seekdone,err> error 2
0<id_crc>)
wd2: wdunwedge failed (status 51<rdy,seekdone,err> error 20<id_crc>)
wd2: wdcontrol: recal failed reading fsbn 0 (status 51<rdy,seekdone,err> error 2
0<id_crc>)
wd2: wdunwedge failed (status 51<rdy,seekdone,err> error 20<id_crc>)
wd2: error reading primary partition table reading fsbn 0
Any pointers, or any ideas about what i am doing wrong??
thanks
raymundo
