Ah. Yes, it's probably a GNOME thing. I have minimal experience with GNOME 
so I can't add any empirical data. I did try it in FreeBSD (GNOME/Sawfish) 
and it worked fine, but I didn't run Nautilus.

Hopefully the GNOME people can help you out - jump on one of their mailing 
lists.
