There's some problem with our bootloader that causes it to fail to load a kernel from slow media on Rawhides. The workaround is to dd the 2.88 MB floppy to a hard disk & boot from that. This will take a lot of time to fix, in addition to physical access to a rawhide & a good understanding of the boot loader. AFAIK, nobody has all three, so this remains broken.
