This is a bug in the drivers. Don't hide it by breaking LINT. The drivers used to be sort link-level compatible. Only wcd and acd were very incompatible (because there are 2 files (mis)named atapi-cd.c; the ata one should be named acd.c and the wcd one should be named wcd.c like an old version of it was).
