no matter what I do to adjust the time it show its been changed and if I run date at the very next command line its back the that way it was, here's a cut and paste of my commands: $ date Thu Oct 29 12:28:21 EST 1998 $ date -v 30d Fri Oct 30 12:29:23 EST 1998 $ date Thu Oct 29 12:29:29 EST 1998 $ what am I doing wrong?
