Before you go deleting your entire port tree try the following: 1. install /usr/ports/sysutils/portmanager 2. To see the status of installed ports: portmanager -s 3. To upgrade installed ports portmanager -u Note: portmanager does not depend on INDEX, INDEX-5 etc... -Mike
