Under V4 you can enable either the modem or the Ethernet on most dual cards. You can select which one operates by commenting out the other in the pccard.conf file. (Always create a pccard.conf file in /etc and edit it. Don't edit the one in /etc/defaults or simply copy the one from /etc/defaults into /etc. Just enter he specific entries that you need modified.) The entry for the card in /etc/defaults will result in the card being used as an Ethernet. If you need to use it as a modem, comment out the config default "ep" ? 0x1 line and uncomment the config auto "sio" ? line. R.
