Same here, only here I tried to load the system-monitor applet. But that
failed without a warning (or I didn't look good enough).

% gnome-system-monitor
glibtop: read 4 bytes: Resource temporarily unavailable
LibGTop-Server: write: Broken pipe
LibGTop-Server: pid 58797 received eof.

This is a 4.10-stable box.
