Does anyone know if you need to reboot for the + in /etc/services to take effect? I've added a + at the end of /etc/services on my FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE box but getservbyname calls still fail unless I have the service entries explictly entered into the file. A "ypcat services" works fine so NIS is okay.
