I've gotten the wireless interface on a Thinkpad R52 working from the instructions in the FreeBSD Handbook: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/network-wireless.html Unfortunately, I seem to have run into a problem. Most of the time, the interface that will be used is the RJ-45 ethernet NIC, not the IPW2200 wireless NIC. I've yet to find a way to get the wireless to work without starting it at boot time.
