While upgrading my box I decided to try using the ruby18_r port instead of plain ruby18. That seems to work fine but all the ruby ports depend on plain ruby18 and try to install it whenever I try to build them. I've got RUBY_WITH_PTHREAD=yes in /etc/make.conf but the Mk/bsd.ruby.mk overrides that setting if the portname doesn't have the _r suffix. As far as I can see, that's all of them, so do none of the ruby ports work with a threaded ruby or is this a Mk file bug? -- Paul Richards
