Thanks for the patch. I may be wrong, but I think, that you can not disable mad support: k3b depends on kdelibs, which depends on arts which depends on mad. This dependencies can not be turned off, so that you ALWAYS have mad if you compile k3b. Do you agree? I am currently setting up a FreeBSD 7.0 and will work on the upgrade once this works.
