X-BeenThere: freebsd-gnome@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: GNOME for FreeBSD -- porting and maintaining List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 27 May 2004 11:49:01 -0000 Hello, Just a wild suggestion: what about adding -Pp as an option when running portupgrade ? The dirty reason is this: If the gnome_upgade.sh is aborted, some old packages are reinstalled by portupgrade. The next time the script is run, these packages are rebuilt (thanks to portupgrade blind cleanup before a build). Some of the packages can be quite long to rebuild. If the machine is very slow, and the machine must be turn off, say for the sake of the human trying to sleep next to it, the process doesn't take a day trip but weeks. Adding this option could speed up things for that particular case. That was just a suggestion :) Denis
