2021Q1 is close, so I've landed the workaround for the high-profile regress=
ion:
- KDE cas was confirmed by many users with high certainty (also tested by
myself)
- Cinnamon was confirmed but only by 1 person from the future (need more us=
ers
or test it myself)
- Enlightment isn't confirmed yet to be due to iris + GLX_EXT_buffer_age
- GNOME maybe similar to Cinnamon but no one reported compositing issues so=
 far
- XFCE probably doesn't use GLX_EXT_buffer_age

Charlie Li, can you file a new bug and attach a patch with what works for y=
ou?
Also check if GLX_EXT_buffer_age can be disabled only for compositor itself
(muffin) instead for the entire shell (cinnamon process).
